About

I am a senior, studying broadcasting at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I returned to school in May 2011 after spending the last 10 years working in television. I started at KPTM as a news technician and then went up the street to WOWT. I spent nine years at Channel 6 working as a news photographer. I decided to make a career change and come back to school. Although my major is broadcasting, I am hoping to find a new career in the Public Relations/Media Relations field. I am currently a marketing/communications intern at the Nebraska Medical Center and hope it leads to permanent employment upon graduation in the summer of 2012.

This blog is about the pet overpopulation problem in the Omaha metro area. One of my biggest passions is animals and the number of local homeless pets is staggering. As a society and human beings, we can do better. Please follow my blog as I bring you successful adoption stories and other ways we can make a difference. Together, we can save a life!
